Precinct Polling Places

On Election Day, you must vote in your precinct

in order to receive a regular ballot.

If you go to a polling place in a different precinct, you WILL be able to vote, but you will have to use a provisional ballot. The Jackson County Board of Elections will then have to verify your correct precinct and direct your ballot to be counted in that precinct’s totals before the county’s Canvass date (about a week after election day).

So, to ensure that your ballot is counted and that you will not face delays at the polls:

Know your precinct

(The link above leads to the NC State Board of Elections polling place lookup tool)

[See One-Stop Voting for addresses of early voting locations.]
