On Tuesday, January 23, 2018, 6:30pm at party headquarters, 500 Mill St., Sylva, the January meeting of the Jackson County Democratic Party will feature the third person to announced his candidacy for the Democratic nominee to the U.S. Congress from NC District 11.

Steve Woodsmall has thrown his hat in the ring along with Phillip Price and Scott Donaldson.  His website describes him as:

A history of service

A career United States Air Force officer, retired at the rank of Major. Current member of the Transylvania County Planning Board and professor at Brevard College. Third vice-chair of the Transylvania Co Democrats (inactive now due to running for office).

Education & Experience

Steve holds a PhD in Organization & Management, a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and has worked in government, corporate, and community action organizations.

This is an opportunity to meet the candidate in a smaller, informal setting where you can ask questions and get a real feel for the person behind the picture.  All Jackson County democrats are welcome to attend.
