Hands on Jackson, when scores of volunteers fan out through the community to help neighbors in need, has been postponed until spring due to COVID-19. In effort to ensure the safety of the volunteers who help with this event and those who are served, organizers decided to postpone from its usual early October date.
Hands on Jackson is a “Day of Caring” community effort to help those in need in Jackson County. Jobs range from installing energy efficiency measures, building ramps, or cleaning yards and gutters. The past two events have resulted in nearly 400 volunteers completing more than 70 projects.
