Jackson County Public Schools is offering free breakfast and lunch for all children 18 and under. To pick up the food, families should come to Smoky Mountain High School Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Cars should drive through the circle above the SMHS baseball field where volunteers will be handing out food outside the cafeteria. Thursday’s meals will include food for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
“We are very pleased to offer the July feeding program located at SMHS,” Jackson County Schools Superintendent Kim Elliott said. “It is always important to support our students with any need, but especially in times of the pandemic.”
This program runs through July 31. No enrollment or sign-up is necessary.
