Planning to vote by mail? The deadline to request an absentee ballot for the 2026 General Election is Tuesday, October 20 at 5 PM.

Any registered North Carolina voter may request an absentee ballot. No special reason or excuse is required. You can submit your request online through the NC Absentee Ballot Portal or complete a paper request form and return it to the Jackson County Board of Elections.

Request Deadline: October 20 at 5 PM

Deadlines are different for military and overseas citizen voters.
