Jackson County Housing Meeting – Cashiers

The Jackson County Planning Department has begun to form a Comprehensive Affordable Housing Strategy, partnering with two consulting firms to see what can be done to keep costs down and allow young people to live in Jackson County. Read about it here in the Sylva Herald.

The open houses will have an open, interactive format, with different stations for residents to provide input on housing challenges and preferences, access information about the and learn more about resources.

There will be no formal presentation from county staff or the consultants, but the open house will allow attendees to ask questions and contribute ideas to help shape the future of housing in Jackson County.
