Candidate Forum for County Commissioners

Southwestern Community College students will host a forum featuring candidates for the Jackson County Board of Commissioners. The forum will give community members an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates about issues affecting Jackson County.

As of September 15, candidates for Chair of the Board of Commissioners Marcia Almond (D) and David Rogers (R) have confirmed they plan to participate. Casey Walawender (D) and Sean Bridgers (D) also plan to attend. Steven Sutton (R) and John Smith (R) have been invited.

Rather than a direct debate between candidates, students will pose questions and each candidate will have an opportunity to respond.
